Happy New Year, 2023. Say goodbye to the year 2022 and welcome to the year 2023. This year the world has begun to embrace a new normal after previous years virus intervention. However, people are now using digital platforms more than ever.

Life can be taken as a bag of experiences and memories, every year a new experience is added and the old year passes and the new year comes.

Although most of the festivals and office matters of Hamro Patro are based on Vikrama Sambat, Anno Domini is considered as a visitor and foreign Samvat in Nepal. But since it is the international Samvat, those living abroad and working in international organizations celebrate this holiday all over the world. This Samvat has a different reputation and global usefulness.

Hamro Patro also wishes its users a happy year 2023. Vikram Sambat, BS is 57 years ahead of AD and 12 months like January-February is the year that marks the AD year, while Vikram has 12 months like Vaishakh and Jestha.

In each new year, we desire to change something, but most of those desires and promises are lost with the maturing year. The convoy of achievements, positive thinking and progress of this year should stay ahead of you. Look back, and focus on the things you have planned. This is your year and it's auspicious for you.

The year 2022 world went through some major events of excitement such as the Football World Cup, Cricket T20 World Cup, and some sad events such as Russian invasion of Ukraine, death of Queen Elizabeth II, etc. There are new hopes for the world after the newly elected prime minister of England who is of Indian origin. The World Population exceeded 8 billion inhabitants on the planet earth.

Life is full of ups and downs. The events in Nepal during this year 2022 also taught us this value of life. We saw some hope with Local elections as new names arose such as Balendra Shah, and Harka Sampang. Parliamentary elections and Provincial elections also gave some new people in the political scenarios of Nepal such as Rabi Lammichhane, Toshima Karki, Sobhita Gautam, etc. However, Nepal also suffered from the Dengue epidemic and demise of “Person of the Century” Satya Mohan Joshi.

In the year 2023, let the dreams come true and let there be more opportunities to move forward to fulfill them, let us get the value of sweat and let the unwavering smile make Nepali faces beautiful.
